Data Science Analyst

We're looking for a curious and commercially minded Data Science Analyst to join our Payment Integrity Analytics team, helping identify fraud, error and improper payments across our healthcare ecosystem. Using data, analytics and problem-solving skills, you'll uncover insights that drive smarter decisions, strengthen controls and support the delivery of affordable healthcare. 

What you'll be doing 

• Analyse large and complex healthcare claims datasets to identify risk, fraud, error and emerging trends. 

• Develop and enhance analytical solutions that support payment integrity initiatives. 

• Create reports, dashboards and automated processes that enable data-driven decision-making. 

• Conduct risk profiling of members and providers, identifying unusual patterns and opportunities for intervention. 

• Support end-to-end analytics projects, from problem definition and hypothesis testing through to implementation and monitoring. 

• Partner closely with Payment Integrity, Strategy and Analytics stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver actionable insights. 

• Evaluate new tools, techniques and data sources to continuously improve detection capabilities. 

About you 

You'll combine strong technical capability with a natural curiosity and a passion for solving business problems through data. 

You'll bring: 

• A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related discipline. 

• Experience in analytics, data science, consulting or a similar analytical role. 

• Strong skills in SQL, Python, R, SAS and/or Tableau. 

• Experience working with large datasets and ensuring data quality and integrity. 

• Confidence translating complex analysis into clear recommendations for stakeholders. 

• A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across teams. 

• Structured problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical business outcomes.
