The Opportunity – Initial 3 month Contract 

Medibank’s Data Hub team has an immediate need for a Data Engineer contractor to support the CPS220/CPS230 regulatory compliance project. This is a 3-month initial engagement, with a strong possibility of extension.

The goal is to manage GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) incidents and build a dedicated Tableau dashboard for GRC reporting. To achieve this, we need a skilled Data Engineer to:

• Ingest data from multiple systems
• Collate, clean, and manipulate the data
• Prepare it for seamless handover to the Tableau team

This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL pipelines and data integration solutions
• Ingest and transform data from diverse systems for GRC reporting
• Collaborate with the Tableau team to ensure data readiness
• Maintain high standards of data governance and quality
• Support the Data Hub’s broader initiatives and compliance obligations

About You

You’re a seasoned Data Engineer with a strong background in cloud technologies and enterprise data management. You’re confident working with complex datasets and have experience delivering similar compliance or regulatory reporting projects.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in data engineering or enterprise data roles
• Strong experience with AWS, SQL, and Python
• Proven ability to ingest and manipulate data from multiple sources
• Experience working on GRC or similar regulatory/compliance projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with Tableau data preparation workflows
