 The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Compensation Consultant to join our Payment Integrity team.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that claims paid by Medibank and Ahm, which are otherwise payable by a third-party insurer or as part of a common law settlement, are identified and recovered.

The Consultant will also play a key role in implementing strategies to ensure that compensable claims, where possible, are not paid by Medibank and ahm from the outset.

How will you add value?

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Liaise with a diverse group of external stakeholder (including law firms, third party insures, medical and ancillary providers, and members etc.) to identify and recover compensable claims
  • Build effective and professional relationships with Plaintiff Solicitor Firms acting on behalf of our Members, to ensure we’re best serving the needs of our mutual client
  • Assist the Senior Compensation Lead in the development of processes and systems designed to maximise compensation claims recoveries and improve detection
  • Work with other PNIC functions (e.g. clinical and Health Audit) to inform and improve the recovery process
  • Report to and liaise with the Senior Compensation Lead

With a large proportion of the Compensation portfolio requiring liaison with Solicitors acting on behalf of our Members, this role is best suited to a graduate of laws, or someone currently studying towards a legal qualification, with an interest in building upon their stakeholder engagement and relationships skills.
