Compensation Consultant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compensation Consultant to join our Payment Integrity team on a 12‑month secondment. In this role, you’ll help ensure our members receive fair, accurate and consistent compensation outcomes, while contributing to key initiatives that strengthen our payment integrity practices.

In this role, you’ll identify and recover claims payable by third‑party insurers or through common law settlements. You’ll manage a portfolio of cases and work closely with members, legal firms, insurers and internal teams to deliver the right outcomes. This is a role that blends investigation, stakeholder engagement and analytical thinking - all contributing to improved affordability and better health for our members.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a portfolio of compensation cases end‑to‑end
• Identifying claims that may be recoverable and ensuring accurate tracking
• Communicating with members, law firms, providers and insurers
• Maintaining timely and accurate case records in line with policy
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across Payment Integrity
• Collaborating with internal teams to detect and manage compensable claims
• Supporting operational excellence and championing Medibank’s values

About You

You’re someone who thrives on solving problems, managing detail and building relationships. You bring:

• Experience in claims or case management (from private health, insurance or legal environments)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence interpreting information and working with data
• The ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
• A proactive, curious mindset with a focus on high-quality outcomes
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills

A relevant qualification in law or a similar field will be valued but is not essential.
