The Opportunity - 6 Month Contingent role
We’re transforming the way we deliver IT services to ensure a seamless experience for both staff and members. Join us as we embark on a major renewal initiative within our Infrastructure Information Technology Services (IITS) division. We’re seeking an experienced Change Manager to support the IITS Renewal Project, a strategic initiative focused on reshaping how Medibank delivers IT services through internal and external suppliers. This role will play a critical part in ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
Initially, the Change Manager will support the Insourcing stream, where Medibank is building new capabilities to bring frontline helpdesk services in-house from an existing supplier.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the People team and key stakeholders to assess change impacts and identify people-related risks.
- Develop and implement effective engagement and transition strategies aligned with project goals.
- Identify skills and knowledge gaps and create tailored training content to support capability uplift.
- Facilitate onboarding and training delivery for the new helpdesk team.
- Champion change management best practices to ensure a positive experience for all impacted teams.
About You
You’re a strategic and empathetic change leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. With a strong background in IT transformation, you understand the complexities of transitioning services and the importance of keeping people at the heart of change.
You bring a hands-on approach to managing change impacts and people-related risks, working closely with People & Culture and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition. You’re confident in developing engagement strategies, supporting onboarding processes, and creating training content that builds capability and confidence in new teams.
Your ability to identify skill gaps, communicate clearly, and foster collaboration makes you a trusted partner across the organisation. You’re passionate about delivering change that not only meets project goals but also enhances the experience for staff and members alike.
