Business Analyst/Iteration Manager

The Role

We’re looking for a Digital Iteration Manager / Business analyst to play a hybrid role within one of our growing Medibank teams.

Within this role it will be your responsibility to lead an agile delivery team in a fast-paced environment and drive business value through effective iteration planning, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. This hybrid role will require a strong analytical mindset to also support agile scrum teams implement new digital features/enhancements by translating business needs into actionable user stories.

The Responsibilities:

• Responsible for end-to-end planning and the delivery and outcomes of squad/s and be the focal point of contact to the business and leadership teams.
• Facilitate Scrum Cadences such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint planning, Review & Showcases
• Manage sprint scope, velocity, and delivery timelines.
• Remove impediments and drive the team to focus on sprint objectives to deliver required outcomes.
• Provides Agile specific reporting, e.g. Iteration Burn-down and Release Burn-up charts and Feature progress.
• Coach squads on Agile ways of working, fostering continuous improvement to grow agile maturity, resilience and high performance
• Supports the Product Manager and Squad Lead to determine timeline of delivery and alignment to hub’s quarterly plans.
• Collect and utilise data and metrics to lead decision making and process improvement.
• Conduct impact analysis and support solution design discussions.
• Risk, issue and dependency identification, analysis and actions
• Scope change impact analysis and change request definition
• Facilitates discussion and traceability of the requirements through design, build, testing & deployment.
• Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

About You

• Highly experienced working as IM / Scrum master and Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge and/or experience facilitating ceremonies, leading without authority.
• Familiarity working with continuous delivery.
• Experience understanding and documenting complex business problems.
• Experience documenting requirements – business, functional, nonfunctional, user stories.
• Experience in mapping processes and user journey flows
• Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment, with key stakeholders, technical and business SMEs.
• Demonstrated experience in providing thought leadership and collaborative input in the team process improvement space.
• Expertise & Understanding in software development, online design and usability principles.
• Experience working across large programs of work containing multiple projects.
• Ideally an Iteration Manager certification (or equivalent) to support agile best practice or experience in managing delivery squads / scrum teams.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), stakeholder management, negotiation and facilitation skills.
• Excellent knowledge of other relevant SDLC methodologies
• A background in highly regulated industries such as financial services / health insurance would be advantageous.
