The Opportunity – Application Analyst

This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing Medibank's Claims Capability through the delivery, maintenance and optimisation of the iMed application. Reporting to the IT Application Manager, you will work with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure and scalable application solutions that support customer and operational outcomes.

Working within a cross-functional team, you'll contribute across the application lifecycle, from solution design and delivery through to support, continuous improvement and platform health.

How you will create value

In this role, you will add value by:

• Designing and delivering application solutions that meet business needs and support operational efficiency.
• Translating business requirements into scalable functional solutions, considering performance, security and system impacts.
• Supporting incident resolution, system enhancements and ongoing application improvements.
• Applying Agile and DevOps practices to manage delivery activities and support continuous improvement.
• Monitoring application performance and contributing to system stability, reliability and health.
• Building strong relationships across business and technology teams to deliver quality outcomes.

About you

You are a collaborative technology professional with experience supporting enterprise applications in a complex environment. You bring strong business analytical and problem-solving skills, enjoy working with stakeholders across the business and are passionate about delivering high-quality customer outcomes.

Key attributes and experience include:

• Experience in application analysis, business analysis, application support or a related technology role.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of application support, service management and ITIL principles.
• Strong business analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
