Application Analyst

The Opportunity 

Join our Technology & Operations team as an IT Application Analyst, where you’ll play a key role in enhancing and supporting Medibank’s iMed Claims Application. You’ll work across the full delivery lifecycle, designing solutions, implementing configuration and data updates, supporting releases, resolving issues, and continuously enhancing the application.

Working in a cross functional squad, you’ll collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and reliable solutions that elevate the customer and member experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with business, tech teams and vendors to design scalable, secure and reliable solutions. 
• Translate business requirements into functional solution designs and assess crosssystem impacts. 
• Recommend and implement improvements to optimise system performance and customer experience.  
• Apply Agile and DevOps practices to manage backlogs, plan sprints and deliver high quality enhancements. 
• Follow release and deployment processes to ensure quality delivery across build, test and implementation. 
• Resolve incidents and problems promptly, meeting SLAs and maintaining strong service quality. 
• Contribute to team goals, support innovation and engage in continuous personal development. 

Must haves: 

• Ability to translate business requirements into functional system solution designs. 
• Experience in business change, systems application and/or infrastructure projects. 
• Strong facilitation skills, with experience running workshops and stakeholder interviews.  
• Ability to analyse and document complex business problems and conduct data analysis.  
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence. 
• Experience working in cross functional, collaborative environments. 
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. 
• Demonstrated understanding of ITIL and Service Management practices.
