The Opportunity
As an Analyst in Provider Strategy Analytics, your key role is to support decision making in respect to Provider Strategy. You will work closely with the Provider Strategy team to deliver analytical insights and recommendations that enable timely and informed decision making to enhance member and enterprise value.
The role monitors health care efficiency, performance and quality while providing targeted recommendations and commentary. You will assess the impact of strategic initiatives and identify opportunities to leverage analytics for industry insights. You will be joining a collaborative team with a focus on career progression and growth.
Key responsibilities will include
- Developing meaningful and actionable insights to support for Medibank’s health care strategies and initiatives
- Provisioning of analysis with respect of new methods of health care funding and price changes.
- Monitoring and analysing benefit outlay and providing targeted commentary and insights.
- Analysing member risk profiles and providing advice as to health care interventions
- Innovating using advanced analytics – delivering business value by leveraging emerging analytical methods such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
About You
You will be tertiary qualified in mathematics, informatics, economics, statistics, health, analytics or a similar related discipline. You can also demonstrate previous experience working within a mid-large corporate environment, in a related role.
You are a strategic thinker and have proven ability to analyse complex data and develop innovative, business-focused reporting and analysis. You are a strong communicator with the ability to influence at a senior stakeholder level and tell the story within the data.
Demonstrated experience using business intelligence tools to analyse trends and data and an understanding of one of the following programming languages is essential: SAS, SQL, R or Python. Experience with dashboard development using Tableau would be beneficial but not necessary.
Previous experience in health, health insurance, general insurance, or finance sectors will be highly regarded.
