We are looking for a Claims processor to join the Claims team which sit in Operations and are responsible for processing, editing, auditing and reassessing claims for Medibank and AHM members. You will be accountable for ensuring that claims are processed accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure the best possible experience for our members and providers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving set quality metrics to ensure that claims are processed correctly;
  • Being a positive contributor of the operations team
  • Identifying and highlighting opportunities to improve processes which can positively impact our members and providers
  • Processing claims within the allocated timeframes

About the role – The role is a working from home position.
Operating hours – Flexible 7am – 5.30pm
Training – 2 weeks training will be provided along with a supportive buddy up system
Equipment will be provided for the role
6 month contract role paying an hourly rate - With the possibility for it to extend

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a have a passion for delivering high-quality customer service experience, with a proven track record in a customer or membership related role. You fulfil Medibank service commitment with style, speed and skill. You earn the trust of customers and co-workers alike as you offer guidance, knowledge, and even identifying opportunities for process improvements. You have the ability to freely share your ideas, learnings and suggestions and openly provide and receive feedback from your peers, managers and other stakeholders.

What you will need to succeed

  • Strong communications skills and ability to build repour with key stakeholder and customers
  • Claims experiences preferred or processing experience with high levels of data.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the health, finance, or insurance industry within Australia is desirable
  • Experience working in fast paced delivery role
  • Experience in balancing payments
  • Superior attention to detail and good typing skills. with expeirnces in the practical application / use of Microsoft word products, Excel, Power Point and OneNote
  • Self-starter with proactive mindset
  • Problem solver, Resilience, self-aware attitude
