About the Role:  

As an Assistant Store Manager (known internally as a Local Community Specialist), you play a pivotal role in bringing Medibank products and services to your local community. As a leader, you will role-model accountability and responsibility when supporting your customers in outstanding service through channels of their choice (in store, on the phone, in community, or messaging). Your role will involve coaching your team with a cross-set of skills and diversity, whilst being equipped to solve a range of standard day to day through to complex problems.  

With supportive teamwork, you lead your team by encouraging them to problem solve at a local level. As a specialist within your local team, you bring added value through your leadership, inclusiveness, coaching, operational aptitude, and demonstrated member-retention skills. 

Fundamental to the success of this role, is the growth (and ultimately the health) of members in the community. Leveraging our products, services, and network partners you will look to enrich your customers’ experience and their relationship with Medibank. Through outstanding needs-based customer conversation and rapport, you will help grow the local Medibank member base with the acquisition of new members and the valued retention of existing ones.

You possess strong diligence particularly when providing (the right) products and services to your customers, and you are always fastidious about interaction accuracy and the protection of your customers’ privacy.
