Make a Difference in the Community: Specialising in Stomal therapy
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Community Nurse with a focus on Stomal Therapy to join our dedicated healthcare team in Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with patients in their homes, providing essential care and support to individuals living with stomas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive stomal care in patients’ homes, including pre- and post-operative support.
- Assess, manage, and monitor stoma care needs for a diverse range of patients.
- Educate patients and their families on stoma management, including the use of products, maintenance, and emotional support.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Provide continuous support and advice, fostering a positive and trusting relationship with patients.
- Document care and outcomes, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Postgraduate qualification in stoma therapy or significant experience in stoma care preferred.
- Previous community nursing experience is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
