Diversional Therapist

Our Transition Care Service has expanded, with a site in Adelaide and a new location now open in Walkerville. With this growth, we’re ready to welcome a passionate and creative Diversional Therapist to our team on a part time basis to work between both locations. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a lifestyle and wellbeing program from the ground up.

About the Role

As the Diversional Therapist, you’ll play a central role in building a vibrant, person‑centred leisure and wellbeing experience for the patients we support. You’ll design and deliver programs that promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical wellbeing, and you’ll have the freedom to bring your ideas to life in a brand‑new setting.

You will:

• Develop and facilitate meaningful individual and group programs
• Build strong relationships with patients, families, and staff
• Create an engaging, inclusive environment that encourages participation
• Contribute to the culture, routines, and identity of our new site
• Bring creativity, compassion, and initiative to every day

About You

• Have a Certificate IV/Diploma in Leisure and Health or equivalent
• Passionate about enhancing quality of life through leisure and recreation
• Confident in planning and delivering engaging activities
• Excited by the opportunity to help shape a new service
• Skilled in communication, collaboration, and person‑centred practice
• Hold a South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or are willing and eligible to obtain). 
• If successful, willing and able to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
