Join our growing service as part time (0.6 FTE) Allied Health Assistant, and contribute to the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting people to regain independence and improve their functional abilities in a transitional care setting.

 

Your Opportunity

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the delegation and supervision of a Physiotherapist to support the implementation of therapy programs and rehabilitation activities. You will play an important part in promoting independence, enhancing patient outcomes, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient journey, in addition to:

  • Assist in delivering therapy programs and functional rehabilitation activities.
  • Support patients to build independence and confidence.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organise equipment and resources required for therapy sessions.
  • Monitor patient progress and provide timely, accurate feedback to supervising clinicians.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful care environment aligned with organisational policies, standards, and best‑practice guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and help foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

 

About You

  • Hold a certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of rehabilitation principles and safe manual handling.
  • Ability to follow clinical direction and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail when preparing equipment and documenting patient progress.
  • A proactive, compassionate approach to supporting patients in achieving their goals.
  • Hold a South Australian Working with Children Check (or are willing and eligible to obtain)
  • If successful, willing and able to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations
