The opportunity
Amplar Health Home Hospital is seeking an exceptional After‑Hours Coordinator to provide AHHH‑wide clinical and operational leadership outside standard business hours, ensuring safe, effective and coordinated care across all programs - including the Home Hospital Virtual Service and the Transition Care Service Located in Adelaide and Walkerville.
Supporting a dynamic, multi‑site service environment this role may be based at the Transition Care Service in the Pullman Adelaide or at TCS Walkerville, working 12-hour shifts -
- Nights – 1900pm to 730am
- Weekend and public holiday day shift – 700am to 1930pm.
You will:
- Be the backbone of after‑hours service delivery
- Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and coordinated care
- Workforce allocation
- Escalation management, acting as the senior clinical decision maker after hours
- Clinical governance, ensuring safety, quality and compliance
- Be available to work 2 – 3 shifts per week.
About you
- Degree in Nursing with current unrestricted AHPRA Registered Nurse registration.
- Demonstrated senior nursing leadership experience, minimum RN 3-level in acute hospital.
- Advanced operational leadership capabilities, clinical assessment and decisions making skills.
- Experience in a multi-site or complex service operation.
- Knowledge of patient flow management, emergency response coordination, workforce coordination and clinical risk management.
- Ability to lead through influence across multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of hospital operations, bed management, and escalation frameworks.
- If successful, willing and able to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
- Holding a South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or are willing and eligible to obtain).
