The Opportunity
As Amplar Health Home Hospital continues to grow and expand its services across South Australia, we are strengthening our after-hours leadership team and seeking experienced nursing leaders to join us as Afterhours Coordinators.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative healthcare service that is redefining how healthcare is delivered. Amplar Health Home Hospital is seeking an exceptional After‑Hours Coordinator to provide AHHH‑wide clinical and operational leadership outside standard business hours, ensuring safe, effective and coordinated care across all programs.
Working 12-hour shifts, 1900 to 0730 weeknights and weekend and public holiday 0700 to 1930 and 1900 to 0700, across our Pullman Adelaide and Walkerville sites, as well as supporting virtual service operations, this highly visible leadership role is ideal for clinicians who thrive in complex environments, enjoy operational decision-making, and are passionate about leading teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
As our services continue to evolve, this role forms part of an expanding leadership structure designed to support future growth, strengthen clinical governance, and enhance the experience of both patients and staff. We are seeking high-calibre nursing leaders who are looking to contribute to a progressive health service and make a meaningful impact.
In this role you will:
- Provide senior clinical and operational leadership across AHHH services after hours.
- Coordinate patient flow and support timely access to care.
- Lead workforce allocation and operational decision-making.
- Manage complex escalations and clinical risk.
- Support clinical governance, quality and safety outcomes.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Provide leadership across multiple sites and services, including travel between locations as required during a shift to support operational and clinical needs.
About You
You are an experienced nursing leader with a strong operational mindset, exceptional clinical judgement, and a passion for supporting teams to deliver outstanding care.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Nursing with current unrestricted AHPRA Registered Nurse registration.
- Demonstrated senior nursing leadership experience
- Advanced operational leadership capabilities, clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Experience working within complex or multi-site healthcare services.
- Strong knowledge of patient flow management, workforce coordination, emergency response and clinical risk management.
- Ability to lead through influence and build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of hospital operations, bed management and escalation frameworks.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence and ability to travel between service locations as required.
- Willingness to provide evidence of current vaccinations.
- South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness and eligibility to obtain).
