The role

As a State Ancillary Network Manager you will play a key role in our Health Partnerships and Networks team, building relationships across our internal and external networks to manage the state operations of our Members Choice Network. 


What is Members choice? 

Medibank has entered into arrangements with many Recognised Providers from the Dental, Optical, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic/Osteopathy, Acupuncture and Naturopathy fields. The Members' Choice Agreement is an arrangement where providers agree to provide their services to Medibank eligible members for no more than Maximum Agreed Prices. These relationships form the Medibank Members' Choice network.

Your impact

In this role you will roll up your sleeves to apply your expert relationship management skills and your knowledge of the healthcare or private health insurance industry to:  

  • Develop and maintain commercial relationships with ancillary providers and Industry Associations.
  • Developing and implement operational processes, which follow national policy and direction, whilst accounting for local variation and needs.
  • Develop and implement innovative outcomes through funding, incentives and initiatives.
  • Achieve targets, within timeframes, policy and financial parameters.
  • Assist in the development of innovative product design.


Your experience

We are looking for a candidate with excellent relationship management skills who has demonstrable knowledge of the private health and healthcare industries. Naturally proactive and driven to hit targets, you love a challenge and enjoy applying your analytical and problem solving skills to drive outcomes. We are looking for candidates who also have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of funding issues and negotiation processes within the health arena or business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in relation to sensitive and commercial-in-confidence information and documents as well as creation of processes to protect security of information.
  • Strong business development and network, relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of the private health industry and some private health insurance understanding preferred.
  • Appropriate health industry experience preferred, generally in roles with another private health insurance organisation or private hospital or related provider practice.
