Home Support Services (HSS) is a national health care provider specialising in providing health care services in the comfort of the patients own home.  HSS strive to be a leader in home health care, using continuous quality improvement processes to ensure the best possible services. Following 30 years’ of experience delivering quality home based high-acuity nursing and home care services, HSS was acquired by Medibank in 2018 as a key vehicle to transform the health system.  

 

The Opportunity

 

The Head of Corporate Services is a senior leadership role that will support the business to become the market leader in the virtual/home hospital space. Based in Adelaide, the role sits on the HSS Leadership Team and will provide a broad range of strategic and tactical capabilities across a number of key priority areas. Whilst the initial focus will be on ‘rolling the sleeves up’ and leading the implementation of change, it is anticipated the scope will continue to expand as the business scales.

 

Reporting to the Senior Executive HSS, you will provide leadership and oversight of the non-clinical teams, including People & Culture, Workplace Health & Safety, Corporate Quality Compliance & Risk, Marketing & Communications and Office Management & Administration.  Focusing on the growth agenda, you will lead a strategic review of the portfolio, including preparing business cases and implementation and change management plans.

Additional areas of responsibility include:

  • Oversight of the corporate services structure, processes and operations at HSS.
  • Take lead of the business plan and work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure a regular rhythm of operational reporting. 
  • Lead and foster a culture of progressive change, best practice and continuous improvement
  • Oversee corporate quality, compliance & risk and ensure systems are robust and meet the needs of HSS and Medibank.
  • Ensure the effective and planned management of change to deliver continuous improvement of administrative support functions.

 

 

About You

 

You are a senior manager with qualifications in HR and experience in change management, ideally within the Aged Care, Community Services or Not for Profit industries. You are a strong stakeholder manager and influencer, and you know how to build a strategy and then successfully execute against it. You are comfortable working with ambiguity and above all, you thrive on building culture and engagement in teams.

Experience working within a multi-faceted corporate services portfolio will highlight your business acumen to have an impact and shape the exciting future of HSS and Medibank.
