Initially a program role, it’s expected that this role will lead the design of the mastery community at Medibank as an embedded element of Medibank’s 3 lines of defence. Responsibilities will include:

Medibank Uplift Program

The role of the Medibank Uplift Program is to oversee and coordinate the effective management, governance and delivery of the uplift required following the CyberCrime incident in 2022.  This includes the effective definition and delivery of the Information Security and Governance Culture and Accountability elements across the Medibank Group and coordinating the external oversight and validation of the plans delivery.

What we’re looking for

The success of establishing the new MA Mastery hinges on a leader possessing extensive experience in designing and implementing risk management systems, particularly within an APRA regulated environment. Additionally, the ability to navigate ambiguity, leverage influence and gravitas to offer necessary challenges and establish credibility with stakeholders are crucial components for achieving success.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid experience in identifying, assessing, and managing operational and portfolio risks, coupled with in-depth knowledge and practical experience of operational risk frameworks, methodologies, management, and control techniques. They should thrive in an initiative-driven environment, consistently delivering results in line with agreed timelines, while embodying honesty, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to risk management.
