The Health Concierge Team is dedicated to providing Health Assurance to Medibank members with specific conditions, health needs or who are undergoing specific hospital procedures. This is done by providing emotional, practical and customer support, to concierge members for voluntary entry into a range of health programs.
The Specialist Health Concierge (SHC) role is responsible for delivering the Cancer Support Concierge service; making contact with Medibank members with a diagnosis of breast or prostate cancer, delivering a phone-based complimentary support service, providing information by mail or soft copy to those members and warm transferring members to appropriate Medibank services.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Using initiative to enhance service delivery and provide a customised experience to the member;
- Understanding customer expectations and the context within which the service is delivered. To pass on client feedback to feed process improvements;
- Recording data with high integrity through the correct usage of business systems and communication tools; and
- To always leave stakeholders with a friendly, professional experience with Medibank.
To be successful in this role you will be an APHRA or similarly registered clinical or allied health professional with experience working in cancer care and the ability to identify needs and match appropriate actions and service provision according to level of need and risk rating. You will also have experience in applying active listening techniques in a customer service environment with the ability to empathise when dealing with vulnerable customers. You will have the ability to build strong customer relationships with you positive, enthusiastic and adaptable personality.
You'll have a keen eye for keeping to records and with the ability to navigate through multiple operating systems.
